Aurielle credits her expertise to her family value of helping others. Before her illness, Aurielle worked as a private client consultant and advisor in the nonprofit sector, and served on nonprofit boards. Her work centered on board education, donor-centered development, grant making and cause-related marketing. She is responsible for the education of scientists, corporate teams and wealth managers, celebrities, and professional athletes on the benefits of philanthropy.

Aurielle graduated from Washington University in Saint Louis with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology, a Minor in Art History, and electives in African Studies.
